How hard is it to get into UF with an A.A. froma community college?

Okay so I'm 17 and I've always wanted to make a great college experience for myself. I've always loved to learn, and loved travel. I think my greatest interest is English Language Arts and I'm probably going to become aan English teacher. Anyway, right now I'm almost finished with my first summer at community college and it's going to be about 2 years until I get my A.A. After that I want to transfer to UCF or UF...I've always liked the idea of Duke or Wake Forest but I come from a poor family so that's probably out of question ...However I'm interested in UF for it's amazing study abroad programs and great Education program...I like UCF for the fact that it's in Orlando, and Orlando is the only place I really love in Florida ..haha :P I know that obviously I will have to work hard and stay focused and become mature and professional in the meantime...but exactly what are my chances of getting into UF when I transfer? Its not terrible, there are just some problems because the technology is dated. The graphics are bad. There is no story. The load times are horrendus. You have to reload every time you die. So I got a Macbook Pro a little over a year ago, love it, except for the fact that Apple makes their products so easy to get dirty, broken, scratched, etc. Over time, I'm guessing dust, moisture, etc. has gotten in between the small area between the light-up LED glass Apple logo on the lid and the unibody. Nothing you do in middle school matters. Colleges (Ivies and really any other colleges you apply to) will NEVER see your middle school grades. If you put your extracurriculars and awards that you got in middle school on your college application, college admissions officers will basically laugh at you. Colleges are interested in what you are doing in high school, specifically 10th though 12th grade (even 9th grade isn't critical for college admissions). It is good to prepare yourself and get a feel for what you are interested in so that you know what activities, academics, ect to pursue in high school, but you don't want to burn yourself out! Slow and steady wins the race. So don't worry about it. Enjoy middle school while you still can, high school is much harder and much more stressful.

Coleman percolator boil over?

I have a coleman stovetop percolator I just purchased new. I am having a hard time with it boiling over onto the stove. I have searched and searched for reviews but there aren't any people complaining about this boiling over problem. There are other complaints that I am not experiencing though. I have an electric stove and in my opinion that is the reason this percolator is not functioning properly. I can't search for ''electric stove percolator'' or variants of that, because 'electric percolator' takes over the search results. I have tried to put less water, and all the suggestions for different 'methods' people have come up with. This thing still boils over real bad all over the stove. The last time I hovered over the thing with oven mitts and raised it up at the slightest boil noise and the thing boiled over in mid-air. I give up. Does my friend sound like she has a problem?

I used to be friends with a 20 year old girl, let's call her Mary. We still talk and are nice to each other, but I say 'used to be' as I never see her in person anymore. She tells me she doesn't even see family members anymore and I believe it! I forgot to mention she's changing both her first and last name. Whenever someone calls her by her name, she gets mad at them and says it's disgusting. She tells me her name just brings her back to the times when she was even uglier (her words) and a loser. She's half Russian on her mother's side and half Italian from her father's side. She said besides changing both her names into Russian, she's never going to tell anyone she's Italian. She tells me Italians are dirty, hairy, and obnoxious. Anyway, I'm a little hurt that I'm having to wait 2.5 years to see her, but she was always a good friend to me, so I have to forgive her for some of her flaws (I mean mental flaws, because she was always great physically).

Okay so I'm a girl and I just graduated from high school a month back. There's this guy same age as me that i met 2 weeks before school ended. His name's Anthony. She came to visit and she wanted to go do things with her bro and dad before 4th of July. I believe him because i heard how much he loves his younger sister from a mutual friend. He kept apologizing and promised that he would make it up to me. I felt really bad cause he apologized like 20 times. Literally. A lot of people have told me that he's so nice and stuff. He really does seem so. Many guys have told me Im pretty and cute but idk. I just find it hard to believe someone as hot as him would be into me. What is you schools max GPA? If it is 4.0 then your GPA is pretty good. If it is 5.0 then that definitely needs to go up. The SAT score definitely needs to go up if you want to get into Duke. You have a lot of extracurricular activities and community service, which definitely helps. Take as many AP courses as you can, colleges love those and you get some credit for them as well. If you can raise your SAT then you can definitely get into at least half of your top five.

Neglected Dog, What Do I Do For Old Maxx?

I used to have a beagle named Maxx. He is an ancient beagle and when I moved I had to leave old Maxxo behind with a couple who have several dogs. I recently saw him and he is in BAD shape he is blind and in pain and dirty and just a mess all around. He has no teeth but the people who took him don't bother buying him soft food. I Love this dog to death he is old but I can't have my daughter around dogs, (severe allergies). Low head high suction fixed orifice?

I have a 15 year old Coleman Heat pump that is acting a bit unusual. About 3 months ago the A coil was changed out as it had been leaking for some time. As far as I know the system has been running fine this entire time. Last week it just quit cooling. I hook up gauges, and I have high suction low head. I take the temps across the reversing valve and they are within 2 degrees of each-other (83). That tells me it is bad valves in the compressor. So I changed out the compressor. I still have the same problem. So I look into the history of the unit to see that the coil had been changed, and start to think that the orifice in the new coil is to big, and allows to much liquid through. This is what I think, and I am seeking other opinions for as I said the system has been running fine for 3 months, and then one day not. I am just a bit baffled by this. Any help or advice would be nice.

My xbox 360 won't read the games I put in, so what ive been doing is installing the games to my hard drive when, on the odd occasion, it reads them. Once I play them from the hard drive it works great but (I don't play it much) yesterday I bought LA Noire and tried to save that to my hard drive but it won't read the disc and tells me that it may be scratched or dirty and to clean it with a cloth but there is nothing wrong with the disc and when I try to play it not from the hard drive it will get into it a bit and then freeze and not work, I phone the Xbox customer support place yesterday and the guy thinks the hard drive is the problem and is sending another one out to me, could this be correct (it still doesn't read the discs with the hard drive not attached)?. Co-worker pulled a knife on me?

I had just started working at this pallet company for 3 weeks and since the first week one of the other guys there took advantage and I think bullied me. He would have me grab him things a couple feet away from him, stuff he should be getting himself since that was part of his job and I was busy doing my own thing but i grabbed what he needed anyways. Then after a week his request became ridiculous like having me grab him sodas and he would for no reason kick my piles of trash and sawdust I had just swept up and tell me to "clean this S**T UP" he would put his hands on my food and other belongings like my cell phone. one day he put his hands on me and tried to be funny or look tough by putting my hand behind my back and push up like police do, that's when thins started to go down hill and I stopped doing what he would tell me to do and started to ignore him and he told me I have to start doing what he told me to do( He was no higher that me and he had just been working there for 2 weeks longer than me.) he then start throwing old gloves, that the coworkers rolled up into balls and throw them at co workers as a joke, I thought that was un professorial since we are working at a pallet company around nail guns and saws so me and this other guy had bad blood from the fist week. then one day my supervisor came up out of nowhere and put his hands on me and pushed me back out of the way almost making me trip on a step and pushing a stack of wood out of the way to turn the machine off... I couldn't hear him call for me ( if he was) since I had my protective hearing muffs on and my head phones on under those ( I had gotten permission from the same supervisor I could listen to music) that had made me angry that he pushed me out of his way and i started to hold that anger in me the next day I was working in my area when when the guy had came up put his hands on my ear muffs and pulled me out of the way from another machine I was aware of my surroundings and knew what was going on so I think it was just another reason to touch me, I then turned around and pushed the guy and told him to never put his hands on me ever again and stated to yell at him. later that same day we had a safety meeting and I left my water bottle behind and when i went to pick it up he got up and kicked it over, I went out to the parking lot to see this guy sitting down giving me dirty looks, I then Screamed " WHAT THE F**K ARE YOU LOOKING AT" he got up started to walk at me and said "what the F**k you just say to me" I thought there was about to be a fight so I dropped what I was holding and that's when he pulled knife on me I remained calm and planed my that I would start backing up keeping my distance then lunge at the knife but never did. eventually he put the knife away and I found out later that I had been fired for pushing him and he never got fired for pulling a knife on me since the bosses like this guy. I feel this guy saw me as weak and took advantage of me to make him self feel powerful and good about himself. What do I do about this whole thing?

I'm going to be moving into a new house relatively soon & I'm having a huge issue with the grout in the bathroom tile floor. At first I thought it was just stained, but after a ridiculous number of floor washings I noticed that there is actually something packed into the grout spaces. There's quite a bit of "dirt" packed in every single space. Washing & scrubbing is just not enough. I can get the top of the tile sparkly clean, but it takes forever to scrub the dirt out of the gaps. Re-doing the floor is not an option. Duke Nukem Forever is a joke. Assassin's Creed is the same old thing, although if you follow the story it may be worth while to pick up. It might be your computer. I literally just downloaded the demo about an hour ago and I get 60+ frames per second on my gaming laptop.
