Going from dark brown to dirty blonde?

My natural hair is dirty blonde but for a few months I dyed it black. It faded to a medium darkish brown and a couple days ago I used Color Oops which turned my hair orange. I just dyed my hair with a light brown and it took out the orange but my hair is still dark. So, should I just go to a salon and have them bleach my hair and then put the dye over it? My hair won't fall out right?
