Why does my coleman fan won' shut off We came home form vacation and the fan was running hit box will shut off?

Coleman fan will not shut off. We came home form vacation and the fan was running I took the panel off and lightly hit the box and the fan shut off. It has a new thermostat on the wall and it doesn't make a difference what mode it is in heat or cold
