How to remove crap under Apple logo on Macbook Pro?

So I got a Macbook Pro a little over a year ago, love it, except for the fact that Apple makes their products so easy to get dirty, broken, scratched, etc. Over time, I'm guessing dust, moisture, etc. has gotten in between the small area between the light-up LED glass Apple logo on the lid and the unibody. Is there any method I could use to get rid of it? It's really noticeable and I want it clean. I've tried using a needle to scrape it out, but that didn't work well.
