Does this mean what i think it means?

Ok, so I'm reading this funny (somehow) ghost book. Now I came across a part I don't understand. It say's: Now It turned out the old duke had his wicked way with the Poor old man, servants pretty young daughter, finding herself pregnant she committed suicide rather then face the disgrace... Does this mean that the duke r-a-p-e-d the servants daughter???? I'm just wondering because the book im reading is for children.
