The problem is the commonalty of the name John Smith. The documents that you mention indicate that "A " John Smith was born to this family and if you have documentation that traces back to this John Smith then and you have documentation that this person is related to you, then you have sufficient information to put Drury Smith into your chart. However, people believing that there is a relationship with out documentation is not sufficient
