Got in a fight my first time at a new church?

Hi yall, basically im 17 and just moved from virginia to ohio. I was at my new baptist church for the first time today. During my sunday school class I noticed a few of the girls, some my age some a little older giving me dirty looks. I was in no way threatening them or being rude to them, I smiled and introduced myself and all that good stuff. I heard one girl whispering very loudly about my accent, so I said in a voice a little above a whisper, dont think because were in church I wont tear you up in a hot second. at this time it was the end of class, and she told me to do it. so I grabbed her by the side of the head and slammed it into the wall. a few of the boys pulled me off her and I sat far away in the service. I know the preacher will here about it. I dont think I can apologize to her yet without knocking herteeth out. should I talk to the new preacher privatley, or will he be on her side since im new?
